When Bombay became Mumbai, the mill workers were slowly replaced by white-collar employees. Mill lands gave way to air-conditioned corporate buildings. At about the same time, we relaunched Jai Hind Lunch Home near Kamala Mills as a fully air-conditioned, fine dining restaurant specialising in delicious Malvan and Mangalorean seafood cuisine.
Our quest for great spices led us to introduce various authentic curries such as Sagoti, Hirva Masala, Adajina, Meen Gassi, Pulmunchi and Ambotic.
